Padma Shri Guru Aruna Mohanty

Padma Shri Guru Aruna Mohanty is world-renowned as an Odissi performer, innovative choreographer and master educator.  She is a disciple of the late Padma Shri Guru Gangadhar Pradhan and is the Artistic Director of the prestigious Orissa Dance Academy in Bhubaheswar, India.  She was a member of the Central Sangeet Natak Akademi and is currently the Vice President of the Odissa Sangeet Natak Akademi.  Her numerous awards and accolades include the Mahari Award (1997), the Sanjukta Panigrahi Memorial National Award (2001), the Sangeet Natak Akademi Puraskar Award (2010) and the Republic of India Padma Shri (2017).
